Safe Stories
Watch this to learn what “Own The Outcome” means for Kaitlyn Prochak, a buyer in our Apparel Customer Service division at our HQ location.
Chapter 08 // AUGUST 2026
Why does our Knoxville shop save oil?
Every winter, the Knoxville shop skips the propane bill entirely. This piece covers how the shop's oil-burning heater runs on used oil pulled straight from servicing its own 30-unit fleet, why that oil gets collected instead of hauled off, and how 1,500 gallons of it keeps the shop warm for free each season.
Who is the customer on the other end of the phone?
Since 2005, Fire Chief Steve Graham has trusted Safe Industries for its honesty, responsiveness, and genuine partnership. Founded by Al Willimon, the company stands behind its work, takes ownership of problems, and treats customers as partners.
Where Safe helps
After Al approved a supply budget, a six-person team cooked three meals daily for 50 campers over 14-hour days, serving 1,478 plates and saving costs at Camp Can Do (A Children’s Burn Camp in SC).
What goes into rescue training?
I-40 through the mountains means commercial vehicle wrecks in tight quarters. Here's what heavy rescue involves, and why crews have to train for it.
When will the new HQ be completed?
We just topped out the new HQ in Piedmont—the last piece of structural steel is up and the frame is complete. Next: concrete pours across all 300,000 square feet, with a completion targeted for summer 2027.
